The nature of the tour can impact the amount of free time allocated based on duration and itinerary design.

Duration: Longer tours may include more opportunities for free time since there is more time available to cover the main attractions and activities within the itinerary.

Itinerary Design: Some tours are designed to provide structured activities throughout the day, while others may have specific blocks of time allocated for independent exploration or relaxation.

The average group size on a tour package can vary depending on various factors, including the type of tour, destination, and the tour operator’s policies. However, it is common to see group sizes ranging from 10 to 20 participants.  Some tours may have smaller group sizes, typically around 8 to 12 participants, to provide a more intimate and personalized experience. On the other hand, larger group tours can have 20 to 40 participants or even more.

The specific group size will depend on the nature of the tour and the preferences of the tour operator. Smaller group sizes can offer more flexibility, easier coordination, and closer interaction with the tour guide. Larger group sizes, on the other hand, can provide opportunities for socializing, meeting fellow travelers, and potentially lower costs due to economies of scale.

We strongly recommend you visit the official website of the embassy or consulate of each country you plan to visit. Look for the visa section or visa information, where you should find details about visa requirements, visa types, application procedures, and any applicable fees.  Visa Exemptions and Visa-on-Arrival: Some countries in Middle East offer visa exemptions or provide visa-on-arrival facilities for certain nationalities. This means you may not need to obtain a visa in advance and can obtain one upon arrival at the destination airport or border checkpoint. Check if your nationality is eligible for such exemptions or visa-on-arrival arrangements.

Visa Application Process: If a visa is required, familiarize yourself with the visa application process. Determine if you need to apply directly at the embassy or consulate, through an online portal, or if there are any specific requirements or documents you need to provide.  Visa processing times can vary, so it’s important to apply well in advance of your intended travel dates to allow for sufficient processing time.

For group tours, the itinerary is usually planned in advance to ensure smooth logistics and coordination for the entire group. Deviating from the set itinerary may not always be possible due to time constraints, pre-booked accommodations, transportation arrangements, and group dynamics.

If you are booking a custom or private tour, you may have more flexibility to deviate from the listed itinerary. This allows you to tailor the tour to your preferences, interests, and desired activities.  It’s important to communicate your desire to deviate from the listed itinerary with our tour operator in advance. We can provide guidance on the feasibility, potential additional costs, and any limitations associated with itinerary changes. They can also advise on the impact of deviating from the itinerary such as missed attractions, adjusted timelines, or required adjustments to accommodation and transportation arrangements.

Considerations for Safety and Logistics: Keep in mind that certain destinations or activities may have safety considerations or logistical challenges that restrict deviations from the planned itinerary. It’s crucial to follow the guidance of local experts, tour guides, and authorities to ensure a safe and enjoyable travel experience.

In addition, deviating from the listed itinerary may result in additional costs, such as transportation, accommodation, or activity fees. Conversely, if you decide to skip included activities or services, there may not be a refund for the unused portions. Discuss the financial implications and refund policies with the staff of Medina Destinations to have a clear understanding of any potential costs or refunds associated with itinerary changes.
